The Takex PB‑30TK is a twin‑beam photoelectric intrusion sensor designed for both indoor and outdoor perimeter security use. It operates by synchronizing two infrared beams such that an alarm is triggered only when both beams are broken simultaneously, reducing false alarms from birds, leaves, or light changes. The PB‑30TK supports a detection range of up to 30 meters outdoors and up to 60 meters indoors. It is powered from 10 to 30 V DC (non‑polarized) and draws up to 53 mA current. The unit features automatic gain control (AGC), an optical rotary alignment system (allowing ±90° horizontal and ±10° vertical adjustment), a compensating filter to tolerate ambient light changes up to 50,000 lux, and a frost/condensation hood to maintain performance in challenging weather. It also includes a monitor jack for sensitivity checking and tamper protection via a relay contact when the cover is removed. The response time is adjustable from about 50 ms to 700 ms, and the alarm relay is a dry contact capable of switching up to 30 V AC/DC at 0.5 A. Both the transmitter and receiver housings are made of durable PC (polycarbonate) resin.
- •Twin synchronized beams reduce false alarms by requiring simultaneous interruption of both beams
- •Double modulation + ambient light compensation for immunity to sunlight, vehicle headlights, fluorescent lights (up to 50,000 lux)
- •Rotary optical alignment with ±90° horizontal and ±10° vertical adjustment allow non‑face‑to‑face installation
- •Adjustable response time (50 ms to 700 ms) for fine tuning detection delay
- •Weather resistant construction with frost/condensation hood and tamper relay for cover removal
