SDC 1562ITCD 2000 lb Concealed Shear Lock with Door Position Status, External Electronics

The SDC 1562ITCD HiShear concealed electromagnetic shear lock provides 2,000 lb of holding force for commercial access control applications requiring a concealed, architecturally clean locking solution. It features external electronics and an ITC armature configuration for inverted top channels from 7/8 to 1 1/8 inches. The lock uses a fully concealed mortise design with a floating armature assembly and alloy steel shear tabs that provide adjustable lateral and vertical alignment. Automatic dual-voltage sensing supports 12 or 24 VDC operation, while the door alignment relock sensor helps confirm proper door positioning before securing the lock. The integrated noise dampeners help reduce operating noise. The 1562 series lock body measures 8 x 1.5 x 1.25 inches, and the included armature assembly measures approximately 8 x 1.5 x 0.875 inches. The DPS version provides door position status monitoring through an SPDT contact. The unit is designed for commercial hollow metal and wood doors with compatible metal frames and is UL recognized for applicable door assembly and egress applications.
