The Pedestal PRO PORTRA-CS-8X14-E is a rugged outdoor access-control housing designed to accommodate card readers, keypads, intercoms, cameras or other mounted devices at pedestrian or vehicular access points. Constructed from heavy-duty 14-gauge carbon steel with a black powder-coat finish featuring UV protection, the housing offers long-term durability in outdoor environments. It incorporates a weatherproof EPDM rubber seal around the door, a stainless-steel hinge and a door panel that can be removed or modified with custom cut-outs to suit the exact devices you intend to mount. The design includes a 3″ (approx) deep back-box space, a top privacy/weather shroud, and pre-punched knockouts for wiring on the back. Mounting is flexible – the unit can be pedestal-mounted or wall-mounted depending on your installation. Ideal for use in parking facilities, gated entryways or access control installations where protection from the elements and vandal resistance are required.
