The Edwards Signaling 1078C-M is a recessed steel door magnetic contact with wire leads, designed specifically for commercial building applications. This product features a unique unibody construction with flexible ribbed sides for quick, secure installation without the need for gluing. The magnet housing is isolated from the surrounding steel, ensuring maximum gap distances for both make and break. The contact contains a hermetically sealed magnetic reed switch, potted in the contact housing with a polyurethane-based compound. The housings are molded of flame retardant ABS plastic and are mahogany in color. The magnet is made of Alnico V, and the rare earth magnet is made of neodymium iron boron.
