The Costar Video Systems CUTP164K is a 16-channel TVI UTP video balun hub designed to simplify HD surveillance camera installations by transmitting video and power over a single unshielded twisted pair cable. It supports up to 16 cameras when paired with compatible single-channel baluns and works with CAT5e or CAT6 UTP cabling. The rack-mountable hub provides 18.5 watts of output power per channel and uses a 36VDC power architecture. Built-in solid-state TVS protection helps guard against electrical surges, while ground loop isolation helps reduce interference and improve system reliability. By replacing separate coaxial video and power cabling with UTP, the CUTP164K can streamline installation and reduce cabling requirements.
