The 4278EX-SN PIR is a passive infrared motion detector designed primarily for use with control panels that only allow serial number polling loop devices; it is not suited for use with panels that only use DIP switch addressing. When used with the included mirror, this detector provides 12 zones of wide-angle coverage, including an amazing range of up to 40 feet (12.2 meters). An optional long-range mirror allows detection at an astonishing 80 feet (24.4 meters) for expanded range or curtain coverage.
